Has it really only been 5 years?! The High Noon Saloon has been such an essential player in the Madison music scene that it’s hard to imagine a time without it! Well, believe it or not, today marks the venue’s 5th anniversary of hosting phenomenal local, national, and international artists on its stage.
If you’re a music fan in Madison, you’ve probably spent more than a few blissful evenings inside those red brick walls. Who hasn’t eagerly stepped inside to have their face melted by a night of sweltering rock and roll? Or maybe it was the quieter evenings that moved you; drinking cold beer with friends and reveling in the chill atmosphere?
Tonight is the night to celebrate all those good times and great tunes with…well, what else?! MORE good times and great tunes! The fun starts at 6:00 pm tonight with performances from Wicked Hemlocks, His Mischief and Crystal Antlers!
Following the show, The Gomers will hit the stage for Madison’s favorite live music karaoke event, Gomeroke! As if that wasn’t enough, you can celebrate for next to nothing! Tonight is the third in a series of True Endeavors’ Recession Beater Low Dough Shows, which means 5 bucks is all it takes to get you in the door.
Big thanks to Glass Nickel Pizza, Pabst Blue Ribbon, The Decider and WORT for making this all possible!
Happy 5th, High Noon—here’s to many, many more! We love you!
We’ve been reflecting on the best parts of venue’s first five years. What are some of your favorite memories from The ‘Saloon so far?

I’ve had lots of memorable moments at HNS…it’s such a great room both acoustically & aesthetically as it’s run run by a very competent local gal- Cathy Dethmers.
I’m going to go with a Cloud Cult show for my official answer here, their mixed media show is just phenomenal. They have an interesting mix of instruments, live video, lighting effects, and (my fave) painters onstage who then auction off the work they created during the live performance. Found a vid on YouTube:
The Monotonix show at HNS was pretty killer too
