I only discovered the lo-fi brilliance of Kurt Vile a few months ago, after hearing a sample of the sweeping “Freeway” on an iTunes Genuis recommendation. (Yeah, guilty…)

Matador has really been knocking stuff out of the park lately. Great to see OG labels like them and Sub-Pop (Fleet Foxes & No Age) really adapting to the new music climate while staying true to their original aesthetic ideals.
