We were trying to avoid the obvious Tom Waits comparison, but it’s just too hard.  Chicago’s Mutts sound a hell of a lot like the legendary songwriter, and that’s that.  Their music embraces the smoke-filled, boozy lounge lizard style that Waits made famous, and pulls it off masterfully.
