We at True Endeavors always perk up our ears when we hear media mentions of artists that will be or have been through town.  We want to share that content with our faithful blog readers.  After all, just because an artist’s show may be over doesn’t mean that their music stops moving us!

Bloggers have been seriously busy writing about the YEAH YEAH YEAHS, Rachael Yamagata, Ryan Adams and the Cardinals, and Meiko. Locally based blog Muzzle of Bees gathered their Bon Iver posts together in anticipation of the band’s upcoming show in December.

Mog.com featured an entertaining conversational review of Blitzen Trapper’s new album, Furr.  Aquarium Drunkard features a nice, lengthy interview, plus mp3 downloads.  (They’ll be opening for Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks on October 30th.)

Holly Golightly and the Brokeoffs new album, Dirt Don’t Hurt, got reviewed by the fine folks at Pitchfork, as did The Broken West’s new one, Now or Heaven.

The Spinto Band, which rolls into town on October 24th, has been profiled on everything from Spin to Daytrotter to PopMatters.

Madison favorite Feist recently released her new video for “Honey Honey.”

Alejandro Escovedo, Sonja Kitchell, Ray LaMontagne, and Stephin Merritt (of The Magnetic Fields) were recently featured on Minnesota Public Radio’s The Current, where they performed live in studio.

State Radio proves that music can still be politically relevant, and inspire a variety of passionate reactions with their anti-war song “Camillo.”

Alt-country legend Lucinda Williams stops in Madison on October 25th for her show at the Orpheum Theatre.  Earlier this month, she paid a visit to The Late Show with David Letterman and performed her brand new single, “Real Love.”  Check it out!
