Before hitting the stage to perform before a packed Madison audience this evening, The Decemberists will be warming up their pipes and tuning their guitars to blissful perfection this afternoon at Overture Hall (tickets still available here).

There’s a new Soundcheck Session to feast your eyes and ears on this afternoon. Ryan Heraly grabbed the following footage from Dawes’ recent Live From Studio M event, where the band treated listeners to their harmonious neo-Americana folk tunes. If you are into bands like Deer Tick, A.A. Bondy, and Langhorne Slim, you should be in heaven with this performance.
