  1. For years now, I’ve been living in and around college towns. Most of that time was spent in the Carolinas. However, on the last day of April in ’08 I made my move to Madison. There’s nothing quite like packing as many things as you can into 1) a cube and 2) a Mini Coop in low 90s and bright sunshine only to arrive 1000 miles from home to snowflakes. That was my introduction to Madison as April creeped into May last year, I unpacked my belongings while Old Man Winter must have chuckled it up at the fact that this Southern boy had no idea what kind of winters he’d be in for. I have to say, the mere sight of flakes on May 1st was an image I’ll never shake from my experiences in WI.
