  1. Favorite collaboration would probably have to be Monsters of Folk. Also, the new Nas and Damian Marley project, Distant Relatives. Knew it would be semi-cool but had no idea as to how great they would pull it off/ how much I would love the album. Bring em to Madison, please? 🙂

  2. The worst movie I’ve ever seen is “Spanglish” and I love to hate it because it thinks it’s a terrific movie. It’s pure CRAP (unlike, ya know, THE MELVINS).

  3. Some of my favorites: John Prine and Iris Dement (In Spite of Ourselves); Alison Krauss and Robert Plant (Raising Sand); Loretta Lynn and Jack White (Van Lear Rose); and Billy Bragg and Wilco (Mermaid Avenue).

  4. Thao and Mirah:

I am just smitten with Ben Sollee & Daniel Martin Moore’s album Dear Companion.

  5. the Mekons with an obviously thrilled Ted Leo at the Mutiny OR the Grateful Dead with James Cotton at Soldier Field

  6. Movies I love to Hate:
    – All Steven Segal Movies! They are so crappy that they are funny 🙂
    – Balls of Fury
    – Twilight

  7. Worst movie:
The Corpse Grinders which is a movie about two brothers who inherit pet food company and cut cost by digging up corpses and grinding them into pet food. The brand takes off and soon every American kitty aquires a taste for human flesh. You can see where this will lead. Probably made with a budget of about $100.

    or anything with Kevin Costner.

  8. Love to Hate –
Catwoman, Battlefield Earth, Dirty Dancing, Encino Man
