Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings

  1. I learned the hard way not to fall in love with individuals who can’t love themselves.

I learned the hard way that some people actually think selfishness is a positive trait.

  2. “look before you leap”

broke my neck in a diving accident. all better now thankfully!

  3. Beauty doesn’t get very far and lovers will be cruel.

  4. I’ve learned (many times over) that being a nice person and being a good person are two very different things.

  5. I learned the hard way that if you wash your clothes right away you’ll quickly lose the scent of a hot night out – and end up searching for that memorable musk – like Sharon’s lavendar aroma I was lucky to become engulfed in with a kiss after her last Milwaukee show. I LOVE Ms. Jones & the Daptones and free tix will free up funds so I can buy another of their great EPs.

  6. I would REALLY like a couple of tickets, pleaseee 🙂

  7. These are GREAT. Keep ’em coming, guys.

  8. I learned that you shouldn’t be in a relationship with someone unless you both can tolerate each others musical tastes. It he or she thinks your favorite band is terrible, it’s not meant to be.

That’s why I would like to win tickets to this show so I could take someone who I love and who would enjoy this show with me.

  9. I learned that learning the hard way in love (and life I spose) is the best assurance for happiness later on, as it makes you wiser and leaves you better equipped to handle people and situations down the road.

  10. I learned the hard way that doing the best for people isn’t always doing what is best for you. Really great to be a helpful, thoughtful, considerate person, but always make sure you look out for you, the most important person in the world (but watch out for selfishness and greediness…if you go too far with that). Have to find the right happy balance 😀

  11. don’t flick boogers at your sister

  12. i learned the hard way that you can’t wait until 1 am to study for two tests that you don’t understand at all.

  13. I learned the hard was that my pet lizard doesn’t have a vagina.

  14. i lerned tha hard way that haters gon hate !!*&5 :(&(

  15. I learned the hard way that you shouldn’t be afraid to put it all out there for someone because they may not be around forever. And as long as you keep giving yourself, only good things can come!

  16. I learned the hard way that it IS the hard way which is often the best way to learn.

Nobody speaks the truth like the incredibly powerful Ms. Sharon Jones. A fireball on stage, preaching from the depths of her heart, one can’t help but be enamored by her every word. She not only sets the bar for all performers, but all people in general! Her energy on stage is unparalleled. Who else have you seen, at 55, that can dance that furiously, sing so beautifully and pour out lyrics so soulfully?

True Endeavors, money is REALLY tight these days. I would love to win tickets to see these incredible musicians on Monday. It would be a blessing. Free tickets or not, I will go to the show somehow. It will be worth every cent and more. 🙂

  17. I learned the hard way that security doesn’t like it when you make terrorist jokes at the airport.

  18. I learned the hard way that elementary school are the best years of your life.

  19. Wow you guys. These were some ridiculously great answers. Lots of hard, important lessons learned…
