“As on his mixtapes, this lovable throwback evokes his down-home life and day-to-day grind over the playacadillistic grooves of vintage Outkast and UGK.” –-Rolling Stone

My local hero is Joy Cardin. I love listening to her morning show on WPR. She is always fair and asks great questions.
Governor Doyle he’s my heroe because he tried for so long I’m so many ways to help students be able to afford college that now some students can’t second reason why he’s my here because he tried to pass the the dream campaign for illegal immigrant students to be hable to college too he tried so had to make this state so much better as much as he could helping single mothers like myself afford a home food n pay bills untilled he had to leave n this state had to get a different governor. He is my hero because he made better spotties happen to help many people with different problems get better. This is why I chose him as my hero.
I definitely think my local hero is Scott McDonell, who has been chair of the county board for 8 years, and throughout that time has protected the budgets of so many crucial social service agencies. He has built and maintained a progressive majority at the county level, and he has never stopped pushing for change.
Scott was essential to passing the ordinance banning housing discrimination against Section 8 voucher recipients, protecting low-income renters from being concentrated into just a few neighborhoods. He brought extensive reforms to the county jail system so that there is reduced incarceration for non-violent offenders. Most significantly, he created a light-rail plan for Dane County that will make morning commutes easier and more environmentally friendly (once the state allows the funding, of course.)
He’s a pretty good soccer goalie, too. And my pick for local hero.
You’re on the list, Joseph! Congratulations!
