True Endeavors’ Question Of The Week: The Fruits Of Our Labor

Labor Day

Happy Labor Day, everyone!  We hope you’re enjoying a nice, relaxing day off-the-job.  Even if you’re working today, we hope you’ll take a moment to recognize the important achievements of workers all over the world and the Labor Movement.

In honor of the holiday, we thought we’d ask our readers to compile a list of  workin’ tunes.  Post a comment below telling us about your favorite songs and lyrics concerning work and the plight of the worker (or even just the songs that help you make it through your workday!) and you’ll be entered to win a pair of tickets to a True Endeavors club show of your choice!  (Click here to check out our current lineup.)

Have your responses posted by 6pm on Sunday, September 8.  A winner will be chosen and notified shortly thereafter.  Good luck!

  1. Five O’Clock World by The Vogues. Working songs seem much better from the era where most people got their hands dirty working.

  2. 9 to 5 by the wonderful Dolly Parton

  3. “Working for the Man”

    PJ Harvey

  4. Justin’s our winner this week. Check your e-mail for details, sir!
