Those who remember Bill Callahan from his days performing as Smog will be pleased to hear that he’s still creating music worthy of making the critics jump out of their seats and buzz. His most recent release, Dream River, was recently given the honor of an 8.5 rating on Pitchfork as well as their “Best New Music” accolade.
It’s not just the oh-so-hip kids at Pitchfork raving about Bill’s work. Here are just a few of the praises that the music world is singing:
“A million vivid scenes that paint a compelling portrait of the human condition.” – Paste
“A nonchalant master class in how to do everything right.” – Exclaim
“Engaging and seductive.” – All Music Guide
“The man doesn’t sing so much as induce trances.” – SPIN
You can catch Bill right here in Madison at the High Noon Saloon on October 12.
