  1. I’m obsessed with Courtney Barnett. Max Frost is super catchy, And I know they’re not new, but I’ve recently rediscovered Bruce Peninsula and have been listening to the a lot.

  2. St. Paul and the Broken Bones – Please come to Madison…
Lake Street Dive- bad self Portraits is a great album
Nicki Bluhm and the Gramblers – good time rock n roll

Honorable mentions go to: Houndmouth and Jamestown Revival

  3. Tough call for only three: Here are my choices:

    Bronze Radio Return
    Barricades Rise
    K.S. Rhoads

    Honorable Mention:
Ash Grunwald (amazing roots/blues guitarist from Australia)
    Lincoln Durham
Michael McDermott (not new but resurrected)
    Mike Mains & The Branches
    The Ludlow Thieves

    Special mention:
Madison’s own The People Brothers Band-great new CD

  4. Well, Gandalf Murphy and the Grand Slambovians for starters. Bob Corritore smokes on the harp and how about Omnia?

  5. Those Irish teenagers The Strypes rock the shit in a way that I dig. Otherwise, a couple of Canadian bands that do not get enough respect in the states are favorites with new songs available on their facebook pages; Whitehorse and Dustin Bentall.

  6. Vito takes it this week! Congrats!
