True Endeavors’ Question Of The Week: Mothers’ Day Edition

Danzig: always a Mothers' Day favorite

Danzig: always a Mothers’ Day favorite since 1988

With Mothers’ Day coming up next Sunday (May 11), we wanted to get our readers’ thoughts on their favorite mom-related pieces of music.  It could be a particular song or lyric that brings mothers to mind, or perhaps even an otherwise unrelated tune that makes you recall a fond, personal maternal memory or story.

Make sense?  Post a comment below and you’ll be entered to win a pair of tickets to a True Endeavors club show of your choice!  (Click here to check out our current lineup.)

Have your responses posted by 6pm on Sunday, May 11.  A winner will be chosen and notified shortly thereafter.  Good luck!

  1. My mom was a teenager in the 60s, and I grew up with her listening to oldies. The song that always sticks out is the Turtles “Happy Together” it’s one of the few songs I’ve ever heard her sing along with.

  2. My mom passed away a couple of years back. Because she was named Shirley, after Shirley Temple, the first song I think of is “The Good Ship Lollipop”. Or for a better song that represented growing up with her, “Mama Told me Not to Come.”

  3. BB takes it this week! Congrats! Check your e-mail for more…
