The newly-formed Madison Area Chef Network announced the details of their first event, Yum Yum Fest, taking place Sunday, September 7 from 3pm to 8pm at Madison’s new Central Park on the near east side.
The festival features 26 area chefs serving a wide variety of dishes, plus four live music acts including underground Hip Hop artists P.O.S. and Astronautalis.
“This new event is a great way to introduce our network to the community and to draw awareness to Madison’s expanding culinary scene,” explained Jonny Hunter of Forequarter and The Underground Butcher.
The Madison Area Chefs Network came together with the goal of strengthening the local farm-to-table infrastructure through collaboration and community.
“This event is all about the local chefs connecting with the community,” added Tory Miller, executive chef of L’Etoile, Graze, and the soon-to-be-opened Sujeo in the new Constellation building on East Washington. “Madison has been so good to all of us, we wanted to give something back to the city. We decided to create a signature festival combining great food and great music that we can all be proud of.”
