Some of Madison’s favorite artists are making their way back to the coolest little isthmus in the world.  In fact, most of this week’s performers have familiarized themselves with our local stages.  Needless to say, we’re thrilled to have them back, and can’t wait to hear what the first-timers have in store for us as well.

Live Video: P.O.S., Dessa, Astronautalis, F. Stokes

As F. Stokes took the stage at Friday’s sold-out show at the High Noon he made sure that crowd knew “hip-hop is alive and well in Madison.”  I don’t think the crowd needed much convincing.  Before the start time of 10pm all of the tickets had been bought up, and people had to be turned away in droves. Madison Week In Music + Ticket Giveaways (1.27-2.2): Hacienda, Say Hey For Haiti Benefit, A.A. Bondy, and Zion I

Zion I

This week, we’re excited to welcome a number of fantastic artists back to Madison.  Hacienda, A.A. Bondy, and Zion I have all played here in the fairly recent past, and will be returning to the delight of many local music lovers.

In addition to these shows, we are also proud to present an event later this week to benefit the victims of the Haiti disaster.  Say Hey For Haiti is a 6 hour fundraising concert event that will be held at the High Noon Saloon (and simulcast on WORT 89.9 FM) this Saturday, featuring performances by Mash’ Allah Reggae, Roots Collective, and many more.  All contributions–large or small–will make a difference.  100% of the money raised will go to Partners In Health.  We sincerely hope you’ll consider making a much-needed donation to this cause.

Read on to get the details on this week’s shows.
