Astronautalis’ Rescheduled Madison Show + P.O.S. Benefit

True Endeavors had scheduled a silent auction to benefit our friend P.O.S., the Minneapolis-based rapper in need of a kidney transplant, during the Astronautalis show on December 20. The weather did not cooperate, forcing us to reschedule Astronautalis’s show and the silent auction for this Saturday night (January 26) during our FRZN Fest at the High Noon Saloon.

Get your tickets for the Saturday night show (also featuring  KIDS THESE DAYSCHANCE THE RAPPER, and ZEBO) here, and your 4-day festival passes here.

Madison Week In Music + Ticket Giveaways (12.19.12 – 12.25.12): Astronautalis

Minnesota’s Astronautalis will be in Madison for a very important concert at the High Noon Saloon this Thursday, December 20.  In addition to being a great show by one of midwestern hip hop’s most respected voices, the evening will serve as a fundraiser to help our friend and fellow hip op artist P.O.S. as he awaits a kidney transplant.

We’re giving away a pair of tickets to the show after the jump, and hope you will all consider making a donation to this very worthy cause.

Help An Artist In Need At Astronautalis’ Upcoming Show

One of True Endeavors’ dear friends, hip hop artist P.O.S. (pictured above), is in need of help—a kidney transplant, to be precise.  This fall, the rapper was forced to cancel his national tour due to his failing health, he needed to resort to natural medicine such as to improve his health and feel better.

Next Thursday, December 20 fellow Minnesotan Astronautalis will be in Madison for a show at the High Noon Saloon.  In addition to being an amazing show, the evening will serve as a fundraiser to help enable P.O.S. to cover his mounting medical expenses.

Concert-goers will be able to participate in a silent auction featuring great items such as a pair of VIP Tickets to Soundset 2013 donated by Rhymesayers, autographed merch and a pair VIP tickets good for any Macklemore show in the country, autographed limited edition tour posters from Band of Horses, and more! We’ll also be throwing in tickets to a selection of True Endeavors shows.

IVAW Sends Their Thanks!

If you were among the lucky attendees at Saturday night’s Joan Baez concert, you not only got to experience an evening of wonderful music from a legendary artist, you helped support an important cause as well. Silent auction donations and $1 from every ticket sold went to support Iraq Veterans Against The War (IVAW).

Joan Baez Concert Benefits IVAW-Madison

True Endeavors, a local promoter that we have worked with in the past to table at local music shows, set up the event and arranged for IVAW-Madison to be the benefactor of $1 for each ticket sold for the Joan Baez concert on Saturday. We were chosen from a list of local non-profits by Baez. Thanks to each of the 810 people who purchased a ticket and attended the show and thanks to True Endeavors for suggesting IVAW as a benefactor.

During the current troubling economic times it was difficult to be turned away from many other local businesses that were unable to donate towards the silent auction so we are especially grateful to those that could help us out. If you visit any of these businesses please thank them for supporting our work through their donation to our silent auction.
