Madison Bitten By The Ghost Of A Saber Tooth Tiger

Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger

Sean Lennon and Charlotte Kemp Muhl’s experimental psych rock project, The Ghost Of A Saber Tooth Tiger, has been getting all sorts of critical acclaim for their most recent (and “first proper”) record, Midnight Sun.

“It is not pretentious and it is not pompous–here is an ingenuous album made by a couple of odd cherubs who just happen to be, inescapably, two of the Beautiful People,” says The Quietus.  PopMatters goes further to declare, “Midnight Sun is a true jewel, and worthy of the linage of one member’s predecessor.”

77 Square‘s Jessie Opoien got the opportunity to pick Mr. Lennon’s brain about the magic behind the music that has everyone talking—and listening. Check out their interview here, and don’t forget to pick up your tickets to see the band live in Madison at the High Noon Saloon tomorrow (Saturday, May 31).

True Endeavors’ Question Of The Week: You’re An Animal

Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger

Sorry guys, we don’t have any upcoming shows this week, but we’ll be back on May 31 for Sean Lennon & Charlotte Kemp Muhl’s performance as Ghost Of A Saber Tooth Tiger at the High Noon Saloon (tickets here).

They’re certainly not the first group to channel a little animal energy, which is why we’re asking our blog readers to think of all your favorite animal-related bands, songs, and lyrics.  Post a comment below with at least three of your picks and you’ll be entered to win a pair of tickets to a True Endeavors club show of your choice!  (Click here to check out our current lineup.)

Have your responses posted by 6pm on Sunday, May 25.  A winner will be chosen and notified shortly thereafter.  Good luck!

While you’re compiling your list, take a moment to enjoy GOASTT’s recent Letterman performance…
