Londonist Names Rubblebucket One Of Their “Best Gigs”

Rubblebucket

It’s safe to say that Rubblebucket has been doing OK for themselves as they tour across the pond.

First they landed the coveted honor of making Arcade Fire’s now legendary bobbleheads come to life onstage at their Glastonbury show, and now the Brookyln-based indie dance pop outfit’s recent London gig has been named one of the week’s best by arts & entertainment hub, Londonist.

We can’t wait to see what they have in store for Madison fans when they roll up to the High Noon Saloon with Body Language on September 28!  Click here for tickets.

Pixies Get Heavy At Glastonbury

The Pixies

If this Guardian review of Pixie’s Glastonbury set is any indication of the kind of show that they have in store for Madison fans on October 12 at the Orpheum, we’re in for a treat.

“If Metallica thought they were bringing the gargling heaviosity and demonic nightmare tunes to Glastonbury 2014, they’ve a whole lot still to learn from Pixies. Boston’s iconic pioneers of biblical and sci-fi screamelodica add precision, mania, panache and pop accessibility to such metallic arts and, in a casually furious hour, crush Hetfield’s lot like the grunting try-hards they are.”

Live From Glastonbury: Palma Violets

Palma Violets

The music of UK-based Palma Violets is sure to sound like a little slice of Heaven to fans of indie/punk-influenced bands like Savages, Parquet Courts, Fidlar, and The Vaccines.   Mojo raves that their debut album, 180, “is filled with such a sense of unyielding joie de vivre and spirit that you can’t help but be seduced by its unfettered feel.”

Need proof?  Look no further than this excellent video of the band’s full Glastonbury set after the jump.  Don’t forget to pick up your tickets to see Palma Violets right here in Madison at the High Noon Saloon with Skaters on October 5.
