A “Tag Along” Concert Review: Quasi At Chicago’s Lincoln Hall

Tag and Robin

While some of us were frolicking around the Maypole and getting our Beltane celebrations on, two of True Endeavors’ finest were on the road to Chicago to catch Portland-based indie rockers, Quasi, live at Lincoln Hall.  Tag Evers and Robin Anderson returned from the show exhausted, delighted, and eager to share their experience with our faithful blog readers.  Read on for a concert review complete with photos, video and an mp3.

Second Chance To See Quasi

Two weeks ago we had four shows in one night.  It happens about once a semester and it makes for a very challenging evening, logistically speaking.  Quasi was one of those four shows, and while I stopped by to visit briefly with Janet Weiss, one of rock’s greatest drummers (Sleater-Kinney, The Jicks), I wasn’t able to catch their set at the Annex.

I’m making up for it tonight by driving to Chicago to see Quasi live at Lincoln Hall. It will be the first time I’ve been to Lincoln Hall, a relatively new venue opened by the same people who run Schuba’s.  It’s not often I have a Saturday night off, so I’m glad to be sharing it with Janet and her band mates.
