Warpaint Hits BBC For In-Studio Session

Warpaint

You’ve probably been hearing a lot of buzz about L.A.’s Warpaint lately, and with good reason!  (NME had some particularly complimentary words: “Intermittently emerging from plaintive moods into harder rocking, they play expansive, lushly-harmonic psych-rock songs with enough time-changes to satisfy even the most beardy prog-rock bong-tokers.”  We’re sold.)

Take a listen to their recent in-studio session for BBC including performances of “Love Is To Die,” “Disco/Very,” and “No Way Out.”

Catch the band live in Madison at the High Noon Saloon on March 30 with Buildings on Buildings.

Win A Pair Of Tickets To See BIG HEAD TODD & THE MONSTERS Live From Studio M!

Big Head Todd and The Monsters

Our friends over at 105.5 Triple M have had some pretty incredible artists stop by their studio before their big Madison gigs to do what they do best.  Some recent Live From Studio M sessions have included True Endeavors artists such as Greg Laswell and Cary Brothers with Harper Blynn and Langdon Pigg.  You can watch a slew of other amazing performances, including sessions from local artists, over at Triple M’s site.

Pretty cool, eh? Well how would you like to get to sit in on one of these sessions with BIG HEAD TODD & THE MONSTERS?  The band will be playing the Capitol Theater with Daniel and the Lion tomorrow night (August 23rd–tickets available here), but they’ll be rolling into town early that day to give a very intimate performance in Studio M at noon.  Triple M has graciously allowed us to give away a pair of tickets to this very awesome event.

To enter to win, all you have to do is tell us what kind of monster you were most fearful of as a kid. We’ll be picking a winner later tonight, so get those comments posted NOW!  Good luck.
