Live Videos: Atmosphere – The Orpheum – 9/8/2010

Everyday can’t be the best day.  Do what you can right now, don’t hesitate.

These were words to live by if you were an Atmosphere fan in Madison on Wednesday night.  Slug and company kicked off the first show of our massive fall line-up with a bang, never letting the energy of the sold-out crowd drop below epic proportions.  If you were like us, you were probably left dazed, confused, and wondering at the end of the night if this possibly was the best day?

Relive the chaos that Atmosphere brought to The Orpheum through these live videos, and be sure to leave us a comment on your experiences of the night!

Live From Studio M: Greg Laswell, Cary Brothers, & Harper Blynn

Before bringing their melodic indie-pop songs to the High Noon on Wednesday night, Greg Laswell, Cary Brothers, and Harper Blynn all stopped by to see our friends at 105.5 Triple M and record one of their intimate Live From Studio M sessions.  Typically one artist or band will perform four tunes for the studio audience, but this time we were treated to a conglomeration of musicians entertaining at once, as each artist took a lead to display their songwriting prowess.

Hacienda Photos: Proof of Greatness

(see: Truth)

“Hacienda is now a verb. These guys are the definition of applied energy with direction. They’re dedicated to a sound that this journalist hasn’t heard live in far too long.  That old toe-tappin’, ass-shakin’ we loved in previous lives gets a fresh take. Don’t forget that they wrapped it all up with a cover of ‘Woolly Bully’ that would make Sam the Sham eat his ridiculous turban. Think that you’re following a string of pretty words into a dark alley where you’re mind will be changed for you? Hands down music lover. This post doesn’t want your wallet. This post is here to stand for truth. Check it…
