Free MP3 Download: Bowerbirds’ “Northern Lights”

Bowerbirds

“I don’t need from you a waterfall of careless praise/And I don’t need a trophy for all the games I played/But all I want is your eyes…”

This gorgeous, heartfelt song was one of my personal favorites from 2009, and it’s yours to download and enjoy free of charge.

If you’re jonesin’ to see these talented artists perform right here in Madison, you’re in luck!  The Bowerbirds will be at the High Noon Saloon on January 17th.  Tickets are available here.

Enjoy the song!

Download Fool’s Gold Live Studio Session From Seattle’s KEXP

You may remember these guys from the Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros show late last year.  This wickedly fun Afropop indie band recently recorded a live studio session for Seattle’s KEXP for your listening pleasure.  Take a listen here, and check out their sun-soaked video for “Surprise Hotel” below.

(FYI: If you dig Fool’s Gold, you may be interested to know that the band includes several members of the equally impressive Foreign Born, who we’ll be bringing to Madison to play The Frequency on March 4th.  You can grab tickets to that show here.)
