Fanfarlo’s Let’s Go Extinct Released Today

Fans of warm, shining indie pop like Seabear, Blind Pilot, Ra Ra Riot, and Shout Out Louds will definitely want to check out the just-released album Let’s Go Extinct from London-based outfit Fanfarlo.

Like many similarly-impressed critics, NME remarked, “There’s so much beauty on Let’s Go Extinct that it could hardly be anything other than a delight.”  We have to agree!   Take “Landlocked” for example…

Don’t miss the band when they roll into Madison for a show at the High Noon Saloon on April 8.

Father John Misty’s Latest Vid: “I’m Writing A Novel”

In addition to that golden voice, indie folk star Father John Misty is known for making especially memorable music videos (see “Hollywood Forever Cemetary Sings,” “Funtimes In Babylon,” “Nancy From Now On,” and “This Is Sally Hatchet“).   He recently released a brand new one to accompany “I’m Writing A Novel” from last year’s mega-hit debut, Fear Fun.

Be sure to pick up your tickets to see the former Fleet Foxes member belt out his adored tunes at the High Noon Saloon in a solo performance on October 13.

Now Streaming: Brother Ali’s “Left In The Deck”

Brother Ali Left In The Deck

Ten previously unreleased Brother Ali tracks have just been made available for streaming as part of his Left in The Deck project with producer Jake One.   Fans who want to download the goods can do so for free, with the purchase of a t-shirt.

Here are all the juicy details from the man himself:

As we embark on the War And Peace Tour with my brother, Immortal Technique, I’m excited to release a new musical project. Left In The Deck is a collection of 10 raw, grimy recordings made in basements and hotel rooms around the world. This demo-tape style release was produced entirely by Jake One. It hasn’t been polished up for the market or cleaned for the radio. These songs were left in their original demo form and are intended only for my family of direct supporters. The beats are grimy and I feel like this is some of the best rhyming I’ve ever captured on tape. I want to release this directly to you.

You can stream here, and for all those kind enough to buy any Brother Ali shirt on the War And Peace Tour this fall, you’ll also receive a digital download card of the album with your purchase.  If the tour isn’t coming to your city or you don’t want to wait, don’t worry, you can get the music immediately when you pre-order the “Cassette” shirt from Fifth Element.

Peace, Love and Power!
See you soon, and thank you for your support.

– Brother Ali

Madison fans can catch Brother Ali and Immortal Technique at the Barrymore on September 21.  Tickets are still available here, but won’t be for long!
