Musicians sure do love their weed!  Especially, Fabulous, who was recently busted with 500 lbs (!) of the green stuff.  At least the rapper is in good company–check out these other artists who couldn’t quite sneak their vices past the authorities.

Could the current economic crisis actually be beneficial to the music world?  OasisNoel Gallagher seems to think so.  “I hope the financial crisis gets a bit worse – at least we’ll get a few good albums out of it,” he joked.  Way to see the silver lining, Noel!  In other Oasis news, the band’s tour of China has been canceled.  In response to hearing about the band’s pro-Tibet affiliations, the Chinese government revoked the band’s touring license.

Bob Dylan has rarely allowed his songs to be used in advertisements, but the icon will be making an exception next month when his celebrated hit “Blowin’ In The Wind” will accompany commercials for the Co-operative Group in the UK.  While fans may be shocked to hear news of Dylan’s involvement in the advertising campaign, the company is a far cry from massive corporate beasts like Wal-Mart (you listening, Springsteen?).

According to NewsroomAmerica.com, “The Co-op, which runs a string of supermarkets as well as banking, funeral and travel services, operates according to environmental impact, fair trade and social responsibility guidelines.”
