Live From Pitchfork: Savages

“The album is stunningly crafted,” declared Spin, of Savages’ Silence Yourself.  “Their influences (Joy Division’s mystic menace, Siouxsie Sioux’s gothic howls) are proudly worn on blackened sleeves, but rather than dance around such matters, they dance with them.”

We’re thrilled to have these talented ladies set to play Madison’s High Noon Saloon on September 18 (tickets here).  Videos like these from Pitchfork’s 2013 Festival make us confident that they’ll be worth the wait.   Check them out after the jump.

American Radio Welcomes Savages Via KEXP

The sky is the limit for these emerging post-punk Brits.  SavagesSilence Yourself has been called “a disquietingly brilliant debut,” “brutal, jarringly confrontational, and completely singular,” and ” anarchic, itching punk at its most primal, most belligerent.”  Fans of Joy Division, The Men, Parquet Courts, and Deerhunter: we’re talking to you!

Earlier this month the band made their American radio debut on Seattle’s KEXP, and their electrifying live performance is now available for your viewing pleasure.  Click here to take a peek.  We have chills….how ’bout you?

Expect to see and hear a lot more from these talented ladies.
