The Virgins Give It Away!

The Virgins

The Virgins

The Virgins’ Tuesday night show at The Annex is one you won’t want to miss!  The NYC-based buzz band has received a great deal of attention and rave reviews from the international music press.  Take one listen to their self-titled debut, and it’s not hard to understand why.

The Guardian UK says “These New York indie kids sound like a giant love-in between CBGBs and Studio 54,” and projects that with their danceable indie rock-funk they “could be America’s Franz Ferdinand.”  Their standout hit, “Rich Girls” was featured in an episode of Gossip Girl (along with 4 other Virgins tunes) and was named one of Rolling Stone magazine’s top 100 songs of 2008.

Check out The Virgins performing “Rich Girl” on French TV…

…and an interview with the band.

Wanna win a pair of tickets to The Virgins’ show tomorrow night? Of course you do!  Since the record opens with the line “All we ever think about is sex,” we wanna know what songs sound like sex to you!  Leave us a comment with 5 of the sexiest songs you know, and we’ll pick a winner on Tuesday.  Good luck!
